Machrie Moor is a windswept and mysterious moorland on the west coast of the Isle of Arran. The site is littered with stone circles and Bronze Age standing stones that adorn the barren, undulating landscape. A notable stone circle in the area is Fingal's Cauldron Seat, which features a stone with a carved hole in it. According to legend, the legendary warrior giant Fingal tied his favorite dog Bran here (pictured on the whiskey bottle).

The subtle peat smoke adds an extra dimension to the classic Arran freshness, while the flavors of vanilla and citrus fruit are complemented by a hint of spice and oak.

Since 2019, all peated whiskey production on the island is carried out by a sister distillery in Lagg. This makes this bottling a unique opportunity to enjoy Arran's original peated whisky, produced in Lochranza.
