How to make this flavourful pea soup?
Sauté the onion until glazy, then add in the carrots and garlic. Let cook on a low heat. Then add in the split peas and the stock. Let boil first and then simmer gently for about half an hour. Then blend the soup (coarsely or smoothly). Add the frozen peas, smoked sausage, smoked bacon, and curry. Simmer for a while and season with salt and pepper. Done. Enjoy your meal!
If you want to add an extra smoky note to your soup, add some smoked salt instead of plain salt.
I am already looking forward to seeing what you will bake from it! Show your creation on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #BirgersKitchen and inspire others.
See you soon ;)
