Deliciously refreshing infused water based on lemon and lavender. Simple and quick to prepare!
Infused Water with Lemon and Lavender
This blissful combination is an already a classic in the kitchen. Think lemon tart with lavender. Delicious! But so you can also combine these 2 ingredients into an infused water.
Lemon supports the liver and promotes digestion. Lemon also has antiseptic and antibacterial properties. Lemon is likewise cooling on a hot day but is also simply delicious in drinks.
Lavender has a calming effect on both mind and body.
Lavender can be used to relieve anxiety, depression, exhaustion, irritability and headaches. It is also good for digestion and can help lower fever.
For this infused water, you will need the following:
- 1 large (organic) lemon: washed and cut into thin slices
- 1 tablespoon of lavender flowers (make sure they are fit for consumption!)
- 1 to 1.5 litres of water

This is how to proceed:
1. Put the lemon and lavender in a large jug and top up with the water. Leave for at least 1 hour (in the fridge) before drinking. If using your infuser, you can cut relatively large pieces of lemon.
2. Then best put the lavender flowers in a tea bag. That way you avoid them floating around in the bottle and getting them in your drink.
Cheers!
