Pancakes with olive oil (instead of butter)
Try this olive oil-based pancake recipe. Enjoy at the table!
Occasionally, I experiment a little with olive oil. Then I try to replace the classic butter with the much healthier olive oil. This time, I took a pancake recipe in hand. And I added some artisanal jam from our herb shop. Delicious!
What do you need?
- 200 g self-rising flour
- half a litre of milk
- 30 g sugar
- 4 eggs
What do you need from our shop?
- 3 teaspoons of real vanilla sugar (not those flavoured ones you buy in the supermarket)
- Pinch of salt
- Splash of olive oil for the dough. I'm using Liguria olive oil from Pure Flavor (our own brand) this time for its soft, slightly sweet and quite neutral taste.
- Extra olive oil for frying
- An artisan jar of jam from our herb shop. You can choose your favourite flavours to your heart's content in our online shop.

How to make these flavourful pancakes?
The recipe for pancakes is actually quite easy. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well with the whisk or mixer, so you don't have any flour lumps in your dough.
Put your pan on near-high heat, put some olive oil in the pan and fry your pancakes nice and light brown one by one.
Serve your pancake with artisan jam. Delicious with a cup of hot chocolate :)
Enjoy!
