The history of Ferrand in Cognac goes back 3 centuries. They have since built a reputation for creativity and excellence. They only strive for perfection itself. And that is still the case. That is why Ferrand's Cognac production is only produced in limited quantities. That is undoubtedly one of the reasons for their success!
All Pierre Ferrand cognacs belong to the 'Premier Cru de Cognac' class because they only use the very best 'Grande Champagne' grapes. The cognac is double distilled in 25 hectoliter pot stills. Maturation only takes place in small wooden barrels.
This Réserve Cognac was double matured. It was first matured in cognac barrels and then further matured in banyuls barrels.
Pierre Ferrand's Réserve 1er Cru de Cognac is bright golden yellow and has a persistent color. Vanilla dominates the nose in combination with notes of dried roses and apricot jam followed by candied fruits. In the mouth we mainly taste aromas of nuts, cinnamon and licorice on the aftertaste. A very rich and elegant cognac.
