The different wines of this blend come from traditional vinification and aging for 8 to 10 months in barrels of the Jadot cooperage or in stainless steel barrels before being combined for the preparation of bottling.
The The name Couvent des Jacobins comes from the former Jacobin monastery in the city center of Beaune, where the special, old wines of Jadot are also stored.
The Couvent des Jacobins is a characteristic wine with aromas of cherries, blackcurrants and an elegant spiciness in smell and taste. Delicious with charcuterie. This wine tastes best slightly chilled!
Food pairing: Grilled red tuna, tataki beef, terrines (rabbit, pork, etc...), moussaka, veal liver, fondue bourguignonne , steak tartare, roast veal, veal cutlet, duck breast salad, fried guinea fowl, hard cheeses and charcuterie dishes.
