Devillé's Black Whisky has been matured for 8 years and opens with an impressive nose in which deep red cherries and creamy white chocolate come together. The soft texture of cocoa butter gradually gives way to subtle notes of oak, vanilla, yellow fruit and stewed pears. Add a few drops of water and discover an enhanced fruitiness with hints of pear, apple sauce, apricot, elderflower and lychee.

On the tongue, this whisky presents itself as a velvety chocolate praline with a core of cherry liqueur, which slowly flows into notes of butterscotch, hazelnut and almond. A dash of water reveals additional fruity accents and a warm spiciness with a hint of soft pepper in the aftertaste. The light tannins provide a refined, drying wood note.

The finish is long and layered, with a rich palette of fruity notes such as cherry, grape, pear and peach. The deep chestnut to dark bronze colour reflects its 8 years of maturation in STR (shaved, toasted, re-charred) casks, which gives this whisky its distinct character.
