For 9 generations in a row, the municipality of Moulon, in the Gironde department, in the Entre-Deux-Mers wine region, has been growing wine. It is current owner/winemaker Joël Duffau who has been at the helm since 1985.

During his studies and numerous internships in various French and foreign wine regions, he has always left the door open to influences and techniques. from the outside. There was a certain desire for constant discoveries, as well as permanent questioning. It is his passion for the terroir, so typical of the Entre-Deux-Mers, and the desire to return to fairer values, that has led him to start the conversion to organic cultivation since 2010. That year also saw the first bottle of his “sulfite-free” wine; La Cuve à mon Loup, bottled.

From 2013, he has been marketing the wines of Château La Mothe du Barry under the certified Organic label.
