Garam masala, literally 'hot spice mixture' in Hindi, is a popular spice mix in all Indian households. It is a roasted mixture of aromatic herbs and spices. Garam masala gives your curries and other dishes a spicy and warm touch, without becoming spicy. Garam masala is a daily presence in Indian cuisine.
