GlenAllachie 2008 Single Cask No. 6523 is a powerful and characterful Speyside single malt, bottled at cask strength (50.2%) without chill filtration or colouring. Distilled on 20th November 2008 and bottled in February 2025, this whisky has been matured for 16 years and comes from a single Pedro Ximénez Hogshead – resulting in an exceptionally rich and deeply layered flavour experience. A real collector's item with only 354 bottles available.
Each GlenAllachie Single Cask is carefully chosen by Master Distiller Billy Walker, who personally selects the casks for their unique DNA – a combination of history, oak type and origin. This bottling is a true explosion of flavour, taking you straight to the depths of the Speyside cellars – as if you were opening the cask yourself.
Tasting notes:
- On the nose: Complex and seductive. Notes of Manuka honey, creamy mocha, and caramelized brown sugar open the scent experience, followed by baking spices, treacle tart, and a hint of fig syrup.
- In the mouth: Silky and full of flavour. Think caramelised orange, dark chocolate and honeycomb.
- Finish: Roasted hazelnuts, candied ginger and plum, rounded out with notes of molasses and a decadent hint of Black Forest cake.
