The meaning of Glenfiddich in Gaelic is "Valley of the Deer", a Scottish valley ideal for producing malt whisky. The water from the Robbie Dhu spring flows here and adds freshness, which forms the basis for Glenfiddich whisky. Due to the cool microclimate, these malts are matured more slowly, resulting in a deeper and softer taste.
This warm and spicy single malt is matured for 15 years in bourbon, new oak and sherry casks before harmonizing in Glenfiddich's unique Solera barrel.
The Solera barrels provide deeper and warmer flavors. They are never emptied and therefore contain an infinite number of malt types, which provides complexity and harmony to this Glenfiddich 15 Years Solera Whiskey.
