Rich, black, naturally ripened Beldi olives blend with capers, garlic and sun-dried tomatoes to create an umami-rich paste that earned a Great Taste Star in the UK in 2014. Only the best black Moroccan olives and capers are used without artificial flavors or preservatives.

Although the main ingredient is olives, the term Tapenade comes from the Provencal name for caper buds, tapeno. In ancient times, capers were kept in olive oil amphorae and became the basis of modern tapenade.

Use:

• Add a spoon to a tuna and green bean salad
• Put this tapenade under the skin of a roast chicken
• Stir into a tomato sauce for an umami flavor
• Use as a pizza topping
• Spread over a piece of toast with (goat) cheese and tomato
