Legend has it that the recipe for Remedy Spiced Rum was created at Farrington's Drugstore, a pharmacy in New York.

At that time, alchemist Frank M. Farrington was already known for providing his customers with excellent spirits. To make the taste of rum even more diverse, the alchemist decided to add selected herbs to the spirit.

He brought the rum he put in barrels from Trinidad & Tobago, Barcelona and the Dominican Republic had been seasoned with the best ingredients, such as vanilla, orange peel and cinnamon. This led to the birth of a fascinating rum with a distinct aroma and a pleasant, subtle sweetness.
