The basis for the Classic Laddie is not a recipe set in stone, but a distilling philosophy. Each batch of the Classic Laddie will be inherently unique and subtly different, but ultimately it is the Head Distiller who puts together this blend of our finest spirits, to showcase the classic, floral and elegant Bruichladdich house style.

Color - Sunlight on fields of early summer barley.

Nose - It opens with barley sugar and a hint of mint, before moving into the most beautiful notes of freshly cut wildflowers: buttercup, daisy, meadowsweet, myrtle , primrose and cherry blossom. The purity of the spirit is remarkable.

Finish - The attack on the palate is so refined and refreshing. The fruits of the distillation rush in on an Atlantic breeze and pop on the tongue like champagne bubbles. A combination of ripe green fruit, brown sugar and sweet malt provides closure.

Finish - It brings warmth to the heart and soul. The clock slows down and tomorrow's worries disappear into the dawn.
