As its name suggests, Kiwami means "height" in Japanese. The Togouchi whiskeys are specific in that they are matured, blended and diluted only in Japan. The maturation of the whiskey barrels imported from Scotland and Canada takes place in a unique location: a 361 m long tunnel that was dug in 1970. Part of their Japanese character is passed on from the terroir through the spring water used for alcohol volume reduction, which is sourced from the heart of the pristine mountains of Sandankyo Natural Park.
