GlenDronach Port Wood is a single malt whiskey made in the Scottish highlands. The spirit matures for seven years in ex-bourbon barrels, followed by a three-year maturation in port pipes from the Portuguese Douro Valley.

The use of ex-port barrels gives this GlenDronach 10 years old Port Wood excellent influences of fruit. With this, the distillery creates a tasty addition to the regular offering, in which ex-sherry casks almost always play the leading role.

The scent is rich with notes of plum, blackberry and strawberry jam. This transitions to soft hints of cherry blossom and wood. On the palate, rich layers of berries, apple crumble, cherries and gingerbread emerge. The aftertaste is reminiscent of raisins and orange zest.
