With the same care as they develop a new dish, Tim and Ben Boury, owners of Boury*** in Roeselare, have created Yuzucello. Their focus is on one main ingredient that forms the basis of the recipe and determines the taste, aroma and garnishes. Each ingredient has been carefully selected for quality, preciousness and sustainability, which is at the heart of Boury's vision, both in the kitchen and in the glass.
Just like authentic Italian limoncello, yuzucello is also made with a macerate of Amalfi lemon is used as a base. This provides the traditional taste.
The complex and rich citrus character of the South comes from a distillate of yuzu. Unlike limoncello, yuzucello is not syrupy and is therefore ideal as a refreshing digestif or as a cocktail, for example with tonic.
