Graham's 50 Year Old Tawny Port is a masterpiece, born from over 200 years of winemaking experience. This unique wine reflects the three crafts that go into creating Aged Tawny Ports: cooperage, maturation and blending.
Graham's Tawny Porto 50 years is composed with the greatest care and attention, resulting in a concentrated and complex taste experience that can only be created by time. Special about this blend are two components: a wine from 1969, the 'CAS Reserve', named after the initials of Charles Symington, and wines from 1970 and 1973, of which more than half has evaporated over the years, contributing to the impressive intensity.
Tasting notes
The wine shows a deep orange-brown colour with a dark walnut base and a light green rim, typical of mature Tawny Ports. The bouquet is rich and complex, with aromas of orange blossom, fruitcake, toffee, tobacco and butterscotch. The palate is rich and creamy, perfectly balanced by a lively acidity. Hints of mature wood, nutmeg and cinnamon linger and provide a captivating and persistent finish.
