Port Askaig Cask Strength #01-2023 Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky brings the untamed taste of Islay to life with an exceptional flavour profile rich with complex notes. This unique batch is crafted from a total of 60 carefully selected casks, with each cask chosen to add specific flavour nuances. Maturation takes place in a mix of refill American Oak hogsheads (75%) and first-fill toasted bourbon barrels (25%), which together deliver layered notes of sweetness, freshness and peat smoke. Each year, the batch carries a unique code, allowing fans to discover, compare and explore the nuances of the wood and blend.

Tasting notes:
- On the nose: Intense aromas of fresh citrus and black pepper, developing into toasted bread, jam and a veil of smoke.
- On the palate: Refreshing and salty with notes of lime and herbs, a combination that blends perfectly with the smoky character.
