Since 1846, Caol Ila Distillery has been renowned for its beloved, smoky single malt whiskies. One of the most important whiskies from the Islay region, Caol Ila is refined by Murray McDavid using premium oak casks. For this special edition, the whisky has been matured in traditional casks for five years before being finished in Tawny Port barriques from the renowned Caves de Murça.

This finish gives the whisky a unique taste experience in which earthy smoke and the fruity character of port come together harmoniously. With an alcohol percentage of 54.7%, this whisky retains its natural strength and character, completely unfiltered and without added colourings.

Tasting notes:
- On the nose: Earthy smoke, stewed berries, subtle notes of oak.
- On the palate: Smoked meat, red berries and smoldering charcoal.
- Finish: Fruity smoke, a hint of pepper and dark chocolate.
