Benriach is an exceptional Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, with a rich heritage dating back to 1898. Founder John Duff built the distillery on the historic Riach Farm in north Speyside. The mineral-rich water, extracted from deep beneath the distillery, plays a key role in creating Benriach’s distinctive flavour.
Using a carefully selected range of casks from around the world, Benriach explores the limitless possibilities of single malt whisky. This craftsmanship results in some of the most complex and layered whiskies in Speyside. Led by Master Blender Rachel Barrie, this tradition continues with passion.
In the 1970s, Benriach reintroduced a traditional 19th century distilling style, smoking malted barley with woody Highland peat. This unique peat gives Benriach peated whiskies their characteristic combination of sweet and smoky notes.
The Benriach Smoky 12 Years is a harmonious blend of fruity, malty and smoky flavours, enhanced by rich layers of oak. This whisky combines both unpeated and peated spirits, matured for a minimum of twelve years in bourbon, sherry and Marsala wine casks. The carefully blended whiskies create a silky and creamy single malt with a refined taste experience.
