With Xaymaca Special Dry, Planteray revives the classic Jamaican pot still technique. Distilled entirely in traditional copper stills, this rum reveals Jamaica’s signature funky style: bold, complex and full of character. The result is a dry, aromatic rum with a pronounced tropical profile.
Tasting notes:
- On the nose: Complex and lively with smoky and savoury accents. Notes of vanilla, caramelised banana, bitter orange peel and ripe pineapple are perfectly balanced by spicy and earthy nuances.
- On the palate: Dry and elegant, with floral and fruity notes of rose water, pear, white grapes, apricot and apple cinnamon.
- Finish: The finish is spicy and long, with ripe tropical fruit and a subtle spiciness.

Cocktail inspiration – Xaymaca Collins :
- 5 cl Planteray Xaymaca Special Dry
- 2 cl fresh lemon juice
- 2 cl sugar syrup
- Sparkling water
Preparation:
Fill a glass with ice, add the rum, lemon juice and sugar syrup. Stir well and top with sparkling water. Garnish with a slice of lemon for a refreshing twist.
