Garam Massala - Le Comptoir Africain

Garam masala, literally 'hot spice mixture' in Hindi, is a popular spice mix in all Indian households. It is a roasted mixture of aromatic herbs and spices. Garam masala gives your curries and other dishes a spicy and warm touch, without becoming spicy. Garam masala is a daily presence in Indian cuisine. In South Asia, the mix is mainly used to season meat and poultry. Season vegetable curries, lentils, beans and potatoes with this mix. Also use in traditional Indian dishes such as tandoori, korma or samosa.
