The 1997 Single Harvest Tawny Port is part of the Cellar Master's Trilogy collection and replaces the 1994 Single Harvest Tawny in the series. 1997 was a fantastic vintage and part of the port was bottled as Vintage Port. However, Peter Symington did not put some of it on the market to allow it to mature further. Now, 25 years later, Peter's son Charles Symington chooses to bottle the remaining barrels.


Characteristics:
Deep orange-brown colors with subtle copper color .
- Nose: quince marmalade in combination with vanilla, soft caramel, honey and raisins. Scents of almond and marzipan, with a smoky touch here and there.
- Mouth: fresh flavors of red fruit in combination with more sour lemon notes.
- Aftertaste: walnuts and tea.
