Juniper berries are quite spicy and are therefore often added to pepper mixtures. They are somewhat bitter and sweet at the same time. They are often used with broths, game dishes and sauerkraut. They also add a delicious flavor to dishes with apples, beef, duck, lamb, etc.
You can also use them as an extra seasoning for your gin and tonic.
