Since 1994, Murray McDavid has been known as a pioneer in the Art of Maturation – perfecting whisky through maturation in exceptional casks that have previously held fine wines and spirits. Juniper Hill 8 Years, part of the Mystery Malt Series, is a tribute to this tradition.

The whisky comes from a renowned, but unnamed, Highland distillery. Distilled in 2015 and fully matured in a fortified Madeira wine cask from Justino's, this whisky offers a rich and complex flavour. The Madeira cask influence adds fruity and honeyed layers to the robust Highland character.

With a natural colour profile, no chill filtration and an ABV of 55.3%, this dram retains its authenticity and power. Only 304 bottles were produced, making this limited release a rare and exclusive choice for the whisky lover.

Tasting notes:
- On the nose: Aromas of orange oil, toasted oak, and creamy malt.
- On the palate: Orchard fruits, toffee apple, sweet spices.
- Finish: Floral honey, barley malt, and poached fruit.
