This whiskey is matured in a combination of fresh and refilled Sauternes barriques, selected from two different years, the latest from 2018. The Kilchoman Sauternes Cask Matured has matured for a minimum of five years in ex-Sauternes wine barrels, resulting in a rich and complex taste experience.

Tasting notes:
- On the nose: Creamy, buttery notes with ripe fruit, a hint of salty sea air and subtle smoky peat.
- On the palate: Butterscotch and floral notes combine with tropical and candied fruits, with integrated smoky peat flowing throughout the palate.
