For over 200 years, Linkwood Distillery has been producing whisky of exceptional quality. Located in the Speyside region, Linkwood is renowned for its subtle, fruity single malts. For this release, part of Murray McDavid’s Benchmark series, the whisky was distilled in 2017 and matured in carefully selected ex-bourbon casks from Koval Distillery in Chicago, USA.

After 18 months of maturation in American oak casks, this whisky has a rich, creamy flavour with notes of banana, apricot and soft sugar. The bourbon influence provides a subtle balance between fruity vibrancy and sweet spice, giving this dram a unique character. With a natural colour, no chill filtration and an ABV of 56.8%, the whisky remains pure and authentic.

Only 280 bottles were bottled in 2024, making this whisky a highly sought-after limited release.

Tasting notes:
