MacAllan A Night on Earth in Jerez - 70 cl

The third release in the A Night on Earth series, this extraordinary whisky is inspired by the New Year’s Eve traditions of Jerez, southern Spain. In this city, known as the birthplace of sherry wine, The Macallan’s exceptional casks are seasoned with rich sherry. This expression is a celebration of coming together, looking back and forward – a universal moment of reflection and celebration.

Created by the Macallan Whisky Mastery Team, this single malt perfectly combines European and American oak, infused with the essence of sherry. Each glass reveals the flavours and aromas of a Spanish New Year celebration.

Tasting notes:
- On the nose: Honey-coated pestiños (traditional Spanish pastries), sweet raisins, cinnamon, anise, rich oak and lively citrus.
- On the palate: Sweet pastries, white grapes, honey glazed almonds, vanilla, balanced spices and subtle hints of fresh rosemary.
- Finish: Sweet, lively and warming.

Featuring luxurious packaging designed by Jerez artist Maria Melero , this whisky offers an unboxing experience that evokes the atmosphere of a Spanish New Year’s Eve. The exterior depicts a night-time vineyard with red skies and shooting stars, while the interior depicts traditional Jerez ceramics (‘azulejos’) and golden grapes, a nod to the Spanish tradition of eating 12 grapes at midnight for good luck in the new year.

The Macallan A Night on Earth in Jerez celebrates not only the end of the year, but also the 200th anniversary of The Macallan. This release captures the spirit of New Year’s Eve in Jerez, known as Nochevieja , where grapes and the ringing of bells symbolize new hope. This tradition, which originated in the 19th century, began with farmers selling their bountiful grape harvest as good luck charms for the new year.
