Marmaid Gin's name is inspired by the botanical staple samphire, locally known as 'mermaid's kiss'. This aromatic succulent clings to the cliffs around the island and marks the high-water mark on the majestic beaches. Just like the kiss of the mythical mermaid, who rescues sailors lost at sea, the samphire was a signal that shipwrecked people and smugglers were safe from the rough sea.

Mermaid Gin has been handmade at the Isle of Wight using ten ethically sourced botanical ingredients. It is a gentle yet complex blend of fresh organic lemon peel and peppery grains of paradise, with a hint of sea air from wild-harvested, fragrant samphire.
