Old Ballantruan 10 years is produced at the Tomintoul distillery. Heavily peated barley is used.

Characteristics:
- Nose: spicy with smoky peat, wonderfully balanced with a sweeter creamy core.
- Taste: some soft peaty smokiness combined with a sweet, creamy, malty backbone.
- Finish: climbing aftertaste of sweetness gradually replaced by smoky depth.
