Port Charlotte SC: 01 2012 is the result of a carefully crafted journey through three cask types: bourbon casks, sherry butts and ex-Sauternes casks. Each cask adds layers of flavour, from a rich melange of honey, heather and dried fruits to a delicate balance of peat smoke and sweet spiciness.
The use of 100% Islay barley, grown within 10 miles of the distillery, highlights Bruichladdich’s commitment to terroir and sustainability. Distilled at 40 PPM, Port Charlotte SC:01 maintains a powerful yet elegant smoke balance, making it a tribute to Islay’s rich whisky heritage.

- On the palate: Sweet notes of Sauternes wine, hints of honey, roasted nuts, vanilla and light spices that perfectly complement the peat.
- Finish: Long and intense, with a harmonious balance of smoke, oak and soft sweetness.
