Lorenzo's great-grandfather, Gaetano Inga, was born in Noto, Sicily. He was a producer on this beautiful island of cognac, liqueurs and Marsala wine, before moving to Piedmont. In the early 1930s he had invented a very special sweet liqueur, produced by alcohol infusion of star anise seeds, a plant that is especially abundant in coastal Sicily. Over the years, this liqueur was given the name Sambuca and became very famous in the world.
