Privacy policy
Flavor Shop and your privacy
We, at Flavor Shop, love our privacy. So you probably do too. That's why we treat the personal information you provide us with the utmost confidentiality! We use your data to process orders as quickly and easily as possible. Otherwise, we will only use this data with your consent.
Flavor Shop will not (ever) sell your personal data to third parties. We will only make your details available to third parties if they are involved in processing your order.
Flavor Shop uses your data to provide the following services:
If you place an order, we need your name, e-mail address, delivery address and payment details to carry out your order. Without these details, we would otherwise have a rather difficult time getting your order on the spot.
To make shopping at Flavor Shop as pleasant as possible, with your consent we store your personal data and the data relating to your order and the use of our services. This allows us to personalise the website and recommend items that you might find interesting.
When you register with Flavor Shop, we store your data on a Secure (=secure) Server. When you register, we store information such as name and address, telephone number, e-mail address, delivery and payment details, so that you do not have to fill these in with every new order.
Data on the use of our site and the feedback we receive from our visitors help us to further develop and improve our site.
Flavor Shop does not sell your data. Point!
Flavor Shop will not sell your personal details to third parties and will only make them available to third parties involved in processing your order. Our employees and third parties engaged by us are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your data.
Your personal information is safe with Flavor Shop
We appreciate the trust you place in us and we will therefore handle your data with the utmost care. When you place an order or consult your data at company name, one of the most modern techniques is used: the Secure Socket Layer.
What personal data do we process?
When you shop on our website, you obviously don't want everyone to be able to look into your shopping cart. After all, you're not walking around the supermarket here. And you don't throw your bank details around either. That is why we do our utmost to protect your personal data. You can read more about that here.
In order to process your order properly, we naturally need your personal data. We also store them. We do this in a secure database and your details remain there. We never pass on your information to third parties for commercial purposes.
These are the details we ask of you when you place an order:
First and last name:
This is because we really want to know to whom we should deliver the package. That way we avoid your housemates running off with your order.
Address and city:
To deliver your order to the right place, the postmen and women at BPost and our other logistics partners.
Phone number:
Should anything go wrong with the order or delivery, we can notify you by phone very quickly and solve any problem. After all, we want to keep you happy as a good customer.
Payment details:
When you pay for your order, this is always done in a secure payment environment. Your details are then sent directly from our secure environment to our payment providers (MultiSafePay, Mollie and PayPal). These payment providers execute our payments. If you pay by credit card, for example, no one at Flavor Shop (not even the big boss!) will see your details. We only receive the message whether the payment was successful or not.
IP address:
Internet shopping is normally quite anonymous. But we can still recognise you by your IP address. This is how we remember your preferences and can give you appropriate advice. It also prevents anyone else from using your account.
E-mail address:
You will receive your order confirmation, payment confirmation and Track & Trace code by e-mail. If you e-mail us, we will e-mail you back. We will also send you newsletters by e-mail, provided you have given us your permission to do so. If you no longer wish to receive newsletters, you can unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of the newsletter.
Furthermore, we use your data for the following:
Customer service:
You can reach our customer service by phone, email and social media. We make notes of your complaint or comment so that you don't have to tell your story over and over again. This way, all customer service colleagues can deal with your complaint or comment.
Account:
If you create an account with Flavor Shop, you will not have to re-enter your details the next time you order. They will be stored in your account. Your account contains your personal details: first and last name, delivery and billing address, e-mail address, telephone number and login details. You can also see what you have ordered before.
Newsletters:
If you want to stay informed about our offers, you can sign up for our newsletter. For this, we (sometimes) also look at what you have ordered before. Don't want to receive newsletters anymore? You can unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of the newsletter.
Reviews:
Do you like to read reviews before buying something? Your review can help other buyers. If you write a review, it will be visible on the website and appear in your account.
Improvement:
We strive to continuously improve our products and services. Therefore, we analyse your visits to our website and also see what activities take place within them: do you view a product, do you put it in your shopping basket, do you click on links in the blogs, and so on. We handle this data very carefully so that third parties can never see it. If another party analyses the data for us, they also adhere to the privacy rules imposed.
Actions:
If you take part in a competition, we naturally want to be able to send you your prize! If you leave your name and e-mail address, we can contact you and ask for your address. We also use your data to see how successful our promotions are. That way, we can make them more and more fun and better suited to you.
Customised advice:
At Flavor Shop, the customer comes first. If you visit our webshop, place an order or like something on social media, we remember what you looked at via cookies (see more under 'Cookies'). For example, you may see an ad on Facebook with the product you viewed.
Fraud prevention:
Trusting each other happens in the ideal world. Unfortunately, this is not always the reality. If there are well-founded suspicions of fraud, we need to use customer data to investigate. And in the case of very suspicious behaviour, we also have to pass this data on to certain government agencies.
Want to view or change your personal data? You can do so via your personal account.
Would you like to have your data deleted? Too bad! Please contact us by e-mail or phone. We will be happy to help you!
